This is a combined posting for Associate Patient Services Specialist, Patient Services Specialist and Senior Patient Services Specialist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. Under the general supervision of the MGR PATIENT ACCESS/SCHEDULING, performs patient registration and pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verify insurance coverage, benefits, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due the facility and provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.

This position does not allow for dual assignment. We are seeking someone with fulltime availability.

Associate Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General office experience.

Salary Range: Min $20.93, Max $32.07

Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of General office experience, which includes public interaction.
  • 1 year of patient access experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience.
  • Medical setting experience.

Salary Range: Min $21.92, Max $33.62

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Access, performs patient registration and pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verifies insurance coverage, benefits, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Senior Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years general office experience with public interaction.
  • 3 years patient access experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Courses in keyboarding and office practices.
  • Courses in medical terminology.
  • Upon hire: Epic Credentialing
  • Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience.
  • Medical setting experience.

Salary Range: Min $22.97, Max $35.32
