Associate Patient Services Specialist in Emergency Registration PV Unit at Petaluma Valley Hospital. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Evening Shifts.

Performs all registration functions for patients. This includes collecting accurate demographic information, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, obtaining authorization/pre- certification for services provided, and collecting patient liability prior to or at the time of service. Greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote sacred encounters.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year Experience in a healthcare or customer service setting with proven customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training Some college and/or certificate courses.
  • Experience in hospital registration or healthcare setting.
  • Experience utilizing medical terminology in job setting and a basic understanding of insurance requirements.
  • Experience with MEDITECH/A4 system.

The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
