The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of non-invasive diagnosis and surveillance of pigmented lesions is required. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in the field of Dermatology with focus on cutaneous oncology and skin cancers at increased risk for recurrence or metastasis. Skin cancer expertise, proven by publications, invited lectures, or clinical experience, is strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience or potential is preferred. Rank will be commensurate with experience.



Teaching responsibilities may include didactics to our world-class residents, fellows, medical students and trainees rotating from other institutions in dermatology and other specialties concerning skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology. The faculty member(s) will play a key role in educating our residents on the cutaneous oncology track and research fellow in cutaneous oncology.



Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and treatment of patients with skin cancer, particularly those with a high risk of recurrence or metastasis. Clinical responsibilities will focus on patients in the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center's specialty clinics, including the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, the Rare and Inherited Skin Cancer Clinic, and the High-Risk Skin Cancer Clinic for Organ Transplant Recipients and Immunosuppressed patients. Candidates will benefit from a busy practice and an extensive infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities and a large support staff of nurses, histotechnicians, research fellows, and coordinators.
