We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 12+ months (possibility of extension)Local candidate to Minneapolis, MN neededRequiredCandidate needs a bachelors in biology or microbiology.0-2 years of experience needed.Job DescriptionPerform microbiological laboratory test activities including bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, environmental monitoring, lethality testing, product inoculation, microbial enumeration and general laboratory activities.Required Qualifications:BS/BA in Microbiology, Biology or related scientific field.Desired/Preferred Qualifications:Medical Device or pharmaceutical experience laboratory/sterilization experience and knowledge of pertinent medical device sterilization documentation including FDA.Position Responsibilities:The individual will become one of the technical experts at the microbial test methodologies.In this role they will work independently but under the guidance/direction of more senior members of the team, create, update / maintain and perform microbiological procedures including: bioburden, endotoxin, environmental monitoring, lethality testing, product inoculation, microbial enumeration and general microbiological lab methodologies,perform data analysis with Excel or similar software packages, coordinated and verify that equipment is calibrated and profiled on schedule,Act as a liaison between the sterilization engineering staff and the microbiology test laboratory to ensure that the requested/required testing is effectively facilitated and performed in accordance with regulations and specifications within a timely manner, write and maintain laboratory procedures, order supplies, coordinate general lab maintenance.
