Teslais searching for passionate Associate Maintenance Managers that are highly motivated to lead part of the maintenance department at Teslas LFP facility in implementing, maintaining, and improving our world-class maintenance program. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, including the upkeep of all manufacturing assets and resources, while developing and driving the team to continuous success. The Associate Maintenance Manager will oversee multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians while supporting Teslas mission to help accelerate the worlds transition to sustainable energy.

The Associate Maintenance Manager will own reports on and drive improvement of area KPIs. They will coach Supervisors and Technicians to execute and communicate equipment servicing needs to increase equipment reliability. They will make daily resource allocation decisions balancing competing priorities to serve the needs of the maintenance engineering and production communities.

Equipment Operation Availability: • OEE improvement • System development to track current shop conditions and identification of key areas of improvement • Breakdown management • Understanding of short-term vs. long-term actions and systems used to prevent repeat occurrences • Equipment spare parts management • Critical vs. non-critical parts determination and audit methods to ensure no risk condition

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Focus: Responsibilities include ensuring team safety training, documenting EHS incidents proactively, identifying workplace hazards, and empowering teams towards continuous operational improvements.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in maintenance or equipment management or a leadership role
  • 5 years of extensive experience with trouble-shooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance - breakdowns and failures
  • Robotic and controls programming skills (bonus if experience is with Fanuc or Kuka Robotics systems)
  • Must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc.
  • Proficient in managing maintenance and preventative maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Must have command of the English language both written and verbal
