Associate Manager, Investment Accounting & Operations

Client Services provides the operations and technology support that contributes to Client being a world-class investment manager. We supply transaction-level support, generate and report investment results and ensure that our investment results are accurately reflected on our books and records.

This position is for an Associate Manager within Client O&I, supporting the Public Accounting Group. As an Associate Manager, you will perform a variety of investment support functions, including accounting, reporting, and analysis for both domestic and international businesses. You will work with multiple asset classes, such as equity, fixed income, and asset backed securities in both foreign and USD currencies.

This role provides exposure to many areas of Client including the Client business divisions, Treasury, Finance, Tax, and Legal. Working closely with these teams, you will support the monthly and quarterly close process as well as Enterprise initiatives. The Associate Manager role includes oversight of the reconciliation of data in the accounting system, PAM and the ledger system, Oracle. Associate Managers also regularly collaborate with business partners of various levels and must be able to effectively leverage investment knowledge, analytical skills, strong work ethic, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
• Direct supervision of team members including career coaching and evaluation
• Identify, implement, and perform key controls to improve upon existing processes.
• Provide support, as needed, to business partners for resolution and completion of ad-hoc requests.
• Participate in internal and external audits of our SOX Key Controls.
• Thorough understanding of accounting related to investment activity in the PAM subledger system to ensure balances are in accordance with GAAP & STAT principles.
• Responsible for ensuring trade activity reflected accurately in the PAM accounting system.
• Review of manual accounting entries to ensure Oracle general ledger is accurate.
• Review of monthly requests for our various business partners across the company, including international subsidiaries
• Working with our Systems team on enhancements to the subledger system.
• Utilize various applications such as PAM, MS Excel, Cognos reports, etc. to facilitate ad-hoc analytical / information inquiries.
• Independently prioritize and lead various project work.
