About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Manager with high accountability, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative communication style. This role requires a true business partner mentality and the ability to turn financial data into actionable recommendations. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of FP&A, the Associate Manager will oversee key areas of the P&L, driving period, quarterly, and annual operating planning and reporting activities. The individual will deliver financial insights that align actuals, forecasts, and prior-year performance, while keeping finance leadership, cross-functional partners, and parent company Yum! informed on business performance to guide strategic decisions.

The Day-to-Day:

• Oversee key components of the P&L, including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Fixed Expenses, and Advertising.
• Partner cross-functionally to assess Capital Investments and provide ROI analyses.
• Lead period, monthly, and quarterly close responsibilities for assigned P&L line items, ensuring accuracy of results and clear explanation of variances (vs. forecast, prior year), including recommended actions and forward-looking outlook.
• Collaborate with Finance, Development, Marketing, Strategy, and Supply Chain teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and deliver templates, schedules, and supporting materials for quarterly financial submissions.
• Establish and refine financial processes to improve forecasting, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
• Partner with Yum! Accounting to reconcile issues and ensure accuracy of financial data, as needed.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to provide insights, perspective, and recommendations that support business priorities.

Is this you?

• Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus
• At least 5 years relevant work experience (e.g. Corporate Finance, Consulting), QSR / retail / multi-unit franchise industry experience a plus
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for leaders and business partners by translating financial data into meaningful insights
• High internal motivation and willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done
• Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial analysis
• Ability to translate financial performance into actionable business insights
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication/presentation skills, with ability to partner well with other team members and ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Ownership mindset on work product - proactively go deeper on a problem vs. doing exactly what was assigned
• Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel (SQL, Tableau, Power BI and financial reporting system a plus)

Salary Range: $109,400 to $125,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
