Join us and be part of something bigger - helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.Position SummaryAs an Associate Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice and counsel to internal business partners with respect to healthcare regulations and laws, predominantly the 340B services team. You will identify business and legal risks and provide solutions which balance legal issues and business objectives. You will support the contracting and operational work for the 340B services team and work collaboratively with other internal partners across the enterprise, developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients at all levels of the organization.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience as an attorney with a law firm, healthcare company or judicial clerkshipLicensed to practice law and current, active member in good standing of a state barExcellent drafting and negotiation skillsResponsive to requests and strong adherence to deadlinesAbility to handle multiple priorities within deadlines without significant direct supervisionCustomer-focused orientationFoster collaborative and collegial relationships with colleagues and clientsAssist with special projects and serve on cross‑functional teamsWillingness to travel up to 5% (including by plane)Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of laws and regulations that impact the 340B services team, including the 340B statute, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, False Claims Act, and Federal Anti‑Kickback statuteStrong interpersonal skills with knowledge of healthcare regulatory and contract lawAbility to assess business and legal risk while balancing practical solutionsProven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across all levels and with external partnersCapable of managing multiple, complex projects in a fast‑paced environmentExperience overseeing outside counsel and consultants and handling sensitive initiativesStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skillsSound professional judgmentEducationBachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate requiredPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $236,900.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
