Associate, Fund Accounting & OperationsOur client, an investment-focused organization, is seeking an Associate to join its Fund Accounting & Operations team.LocationSan Francisco, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office.Job DescriptionThis role will support accounting and operational activities across a portfolio of investment vehicles, contributing to accurate financial reporting and efficient execution of fund processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build expertise in fund accounting within a collaborative, high-standard environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries and supporting workpapers across multiple investment vehiclesSupport quarterly fund reporting, including performance calculations and investor allocationsMaintain and reconcile investment and cash data, ensuring accuracy and completenessAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesSupport audit activities by preparing documentation and coordinating with internal stakeholdersPartner cross-functionally with investment, finance, tax, and operations teamsRespond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from leadershipSupport operational workflows related to capital activity, distributions, and fund transactionsContribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancementsAssist in managing data integrity and documentation standards across accounting systemsParticipate in special projects related to reporting, analytics, and process optimizationGain exposure to treasury and liquidity management activities as part of broader operational supportRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of relevant accounting or financial operations experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency in Excel and working with financial dataStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues proactivelyStrong communication and collaboration skillsInterest in investment accounting or financial operations preferredCPA or progress toward certification preferredCompensationDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;Licensure and certifications;Office location and other geographic considerations;Other business and organizational needs.With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
