Associate, Financial Crimes Controls with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Work on the Government Sanctions Group (“GSG”) team within FCC and support US regulatory reporting framework. Ensure the Firm’s compliance with sanctions programs administered by the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the UK’s His Majesty’s Treasury’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), the European Union, and other relevant sanctions authorities globally. Serve as a subject matter expert on government sanctions regulations and manage the day-to-day execution of the team’s regulatory reporting requirements to OFAC. Requires: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Political Science, International Relations, Communications Technology, Economics, Project Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following: working with data aggregation, analysis, reconciliation, and tracking; using external resources for sanctions research and investigation; understanding of sanctions regulations and their implications; general product and securities knowledge with a focus on securities; coordinating and communicating regarding impact of sanctions laws and regulations with impacted business units; and providing sanctions-related advice and context to relevant stakeholders and planning for a variety of outcomes.
