We seek an Associate Field Engineer to join our dedicated and talented team. At TSP, we share a passion for providing an entirely positive, above-and-beyond service experience for every customer in the TSP family.
ASSOCIATE FIELD ENGINEERS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide hardware support, installations, and upgrades of all Everpure Storage and Cirrus equipment
Schedule installation engagements and coordinate the delivery of parts
Perform installation and configuration of Everpure storage equipment (unboxing, lifting, racking/stacking, etc.)
Interact with IT customers and TSP technical team members, including presales, services, and support organizations
Impact extends to customer technical representatives, including systems administrators and technical managers
Travel for training and work up to 85% of the time
Weekend and evening work required, as are holidays
Mandatory training:
Everpure Install web-based training - remote
Everpure Installation training (PIT) - in-person in Dallas, TX (travel expenses covered)
NDU class - in-person in Dallas, TX (travel expenses covered)
THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required; degree in computer science, information technology, or any technical field preferred
Technical skills in storage, server, and networking technologies
Understanding storage protocols including FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and S3
Experience with hardware installation and software configuration
Experience creating a run book, design workbook, and statement of work
Must be reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to take ownership of multiple engagements
Ability to work as a team player and effectively allocate time and resources to manage multiple projects
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Consultancy experience and customer-facing skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux
Experience with one or more of the following: Citrix Xen Desktop, VMware, Oracle, SQL
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Must be able to lift and install equipment (up to 75 pounds) into customer racks
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
