MAU is hiring an Associate Employment Specialist in North Charleston, SC. As an Associate Employment Specialist, you will support full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, staffing operations, and workforce administration for an on-site client while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong partnerships with hiring managers and HR leadership. This is a contract, short-term assignment (~3 months)

Required Education and Experience

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and schedule all hourly hiring activities
  • Manage the skilled assessment program
  • Schedule Microsoft Teams and onsite interviews
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and support the selection process
  • Prepare offer letters, ACFs, onboarding assessments, and other employment documentation
  • Coordinate document approvals and candidate acceptance processes
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) for skilled positions
  • Provide weekly staffing updates to HR Business Partners and management
  • Communicate daily with hiring managers regarding recruiting activity and candidate status
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with client leadership
  • Coordinate and participate in hiring events
  • Post internship, co-op, and apprenticeship opportunities through TalentHub, MAU Jobs, and external job boards
  • Coordinate placement testing, interviews, onboarding, background checks, drug screenings, and medical testing for co-op and apprenticeship candidates
  • Organize team-building activities and conduct post-program interviews for co-op participants
  • Participate in weekly client staffing meetings and monthly MAU staffing meetings
  • Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Cross-train in onsite management functions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Professional office environment
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, printers, copiers, and other office equipment
  • Occasional work at customer locations, including office and manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment and industrial vehicles when onsite
  • May work in non-temperature-controlled facilities or GMP clean room environments
