The Role
The Associate Director of Supply Chain Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise-wide supply chain governance supporting a telecommunications organization with more than 300 active suppliers across corporate services, construction, fleet, real estate, and software categories.
This role is responsible for driving spend visibility and analytics, third-party risk management, supplier health monitoring, supply chain technology strategy, and automation enablement while ensuring ongoing audit readiness and SOX compliance.
The position partners closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, Internal Audit, and Operations to ensure supply chain processes are scalable, controlled, and aligned with enterprise risk and compliance requirements.

The Main Responsibilities
Lead enterprise spend analytics across suppliers and categories to improve cost visibility, financial control, and strategic sourcing decisions.
Oversee the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program for supply chain vendors, including risk classification, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and remediation.
Monitor supplier financial health, operational resilience, compliance posture, and partner with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to manage vendor risk remediation and escalation.
Define and manage the supply chain technology roadmap, and lead automation initiatives to improve process efficiency, data integrity, and internal controls.
Serve as the primary supply chain liaison for internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
Ensure supply chain processes and controls support effective internal controls over financial reporting.
Provide functional leadership to supply chain operations and governance resources, including direct or matrixed team members.
Position Impact
This role is critical to strengthening supplier governance, improving financial and operational visibility, and ensuring audit and SOX readiness across a highly distributed telecommunications supply chain. The Associate Director directly supports enterprise risk management, operational scalability, and long-term growth.

Main Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Ten (10) or more years of professional experience within the telecommunications industry, with demonstrated exposure to complex, multi-state operating environments.
• Working experience supporting supply chain, procurement, vendor management, finance, or operational analytics functions.
• Strong analytical capabilities with proven ability to analyze large data sets, develop spend and performance insights, and support executive decision-making.
• Experience producing management-level reporting, dashboards, and analytics using ERP systems, spend tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated understanding of supplier governance, financial controls, and risk management concepts within regulated or audit-sensitive environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise spend analytics, supplier performance management, or third-party risk management programs.
• Exposure to SOX-controlled or audit-ready environments.
• MBA or other advanced business degree preferred, but not required.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$160,000 – $195,000, dependent on experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
