Job Summary

Job Summary

Oakland School for the Arts seeks a highly strategic, relationship-driven, and entrepreneurial Director of Institutional Giving & Strategic Partnerships to lead and expand OSA's institutional fundraising and strategic donor development efforts. Job functions focus equally on strategy and implementation including admin work. This position is responsible for securing philanthropic support from foundations, corporations, civic organizations, institutional funders, and select major individual donors. The role also serves as a key architect of OSA's long-term fundraising growth strategy by developing new donor pipelines, building strategic partnerships, conducting prospect mapping, and supporting campaign and leadership fundraising initiatives. The Director of Institutional Giving & Strategic Partnerships will manage a dynamic portfolio of institutional and major donor prospects, develop compelling funding opportunities aligned with OSA's mission and strategic priorities, and cultivate relationships that strengthen OSA's visibility and sustainability within the philanthropic, arts, civic, and business communities. The role works closely with the Director of Advancement and Marketing, Executive Director, Board of Directors, faculty leadership, and external partners to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic support. This position reports to the Director of Advancement and Marketing and is a member of the Advancement leadership team.
