| Job Description: | The successful candidate will co-lead the clinical microbiology laboratory while directing an established, data-driven diagnostic stewardship program. This program is fully supported by institutional leadership and operates through a multidisciplinary oversight committee to ensure governance, prioritization, and accountability for test utilization across the health system. | Required Qualifications: | MD and/or PhD with subspecialty fellowship training in microbiology (ACGME or CPEP-accredited). A strong foundation in clinical/molecular microbiology (bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, parasitology, virology) and laboratory utilization management. |
| Preferred: | Board certification or eligibility by the ABMM or ABP in Medical Microbiology. Demonstrated experience with laboratory automation, molecular diagnostics, and stewardship programs. MD applicants must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. |
