Job Summary:The Director, Metrology provides global leadership for laboratory instrumentation and metrology programs across IQVIA Laboratories, ensuring compliance, operational readiness, and scalability to support business growth. This role partners cross‑functionally and with executive leadership to drive strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement across a global laboratory footprint.

What You'll Be Doing:Lead and oversee global metrology operations across approximately 17 IQVIA laboratory sites, including Central Labs and Specialty LabsDevelop and execute departmental strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long‑term growthEstablish goals, metrics, and performance expectations for a global team, driving accountability and operational excellenceEnsure effective resourcing, prioritization, and workload management across regions and sitesProvide oversight of equipment lifecycle management, preventative maintenance, calibration, and compliance programs using enterprise asset systemsServe as an escalation point for quality, safety, and operational issues, ensuring timely CAPA resolution and root cause analysisPartner cross‑functionally to evaluate, select, and implement new instrumentation, technologies, and vendor solutionsDrive global harmonization, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations

What We Are Looking For:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExtensive experience overseeing complex laboratory instrumentation and metrology programs within regulated environmentsStrong working knowledge of laboratory equipment compliance, preventative maintenance programs, and regulatory standardsOther equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
