The Enterprise Services team seeks a highly talented and motivated Associate Director, DTA PMO to report into the Digital Technology AI (DTA) department and manage the DTA Project Management Office (PMO)xc2xa0

xc2xa0

This role will help to gather and prioritize demand from all functions within IT, identify cross portfolio dependencies, ensure alignment at a Portfolio level across all IT departments in IT, to identify synergies and drive standards. xc2xa0This role has overall accountability for the Project Management services function within the DTA department.xc2xa0

This position will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Services. xc2xa0

Duties include but not limited to: xc2xa0

Portfolio and Project Management Servicesxc2xa0

n

  • Developing Project/Program/Product Management Methodology, Policies, and standards.xc2xa0 n
  • Operating a Project Management as a Service (PMaaS) model thru a strategic partner / vendor and be accountable for the service delivery aspects of the projectxc2xa0 n
  • Develop agile ways of working in the PMOxc2xa0 n
  • Ensure consistency of approach and quality of deliverablesxc2xa0 n
  • Establish, measure and track project/portfolio metrics.xc2xa0 n
  • Identify, manage, and communicate portfolio dependencies and operational risks for IT across all relevant DTA Portfolios: n

  • Serve as a SPOC for Head of IT Performance Management, to manage Cross-Functional Resource Allocations and Prioritization of Projects.xc2xa0 n
  • Work with resource managers in IT, to maximize resource allocation based on resource availability and prioritized demand.xc2xa0 n
  • Prioritize and manage portfolio of IT initiatives in support of business goals.xc2xa0 n
  • Work closely with the project sponsors, project managers, and other critical partners to stay synchronized on planned scope, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing of initiativesxc2xa0 n
  • Maintain a firm understanding of all projects at a high level xe2x80x93 working with PM teams to identify, triage, and mitigate risks including scope creep, budget variance, time, quality, resources.xc2xa0 n
  • Support the execution team with the resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.xc2xa0 n
  • Coordination of the project portion of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for IT. xc2xa0 n
  • Help to identify risks and opportunities as it relates to the IT Budget, Operational and Projects.xc2xa0 n
  • Responsible for the SDLC and Project Lifecycle.xc2xa0 n
  • Technical and Business owner for Planviewxc2xa0 n

Education Requiredxc2xa0

  • Minimum of a Computer Science or Engineering/Science Degree in a Bio-Pharmaceutical or equivalent type industry.xc2xa0 n
  • 12+ years of experience in Project/Program Managementxc2xa0 n
  • Project Management Qualification.xc2xa0 n
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Power Point, MS Accessxc2xa0 n
  • Proficiency with Portfolio Management Tools, such as Planview PPM, Oracle OPPM, Oracle Primavera P6 etc.xc2xa0 n

  • Ability to collaborate with a team that has a fast-moving and diverse portfolioxc2xa0 n
  • Experience in IT within the Pharmaceutical Industry.xc2xa0 n

  • Able to lead IT projects of considerable size and complexity that typically enable larger functions or multiple functions to achieve their goals and objectivesxc2xa0 n

The salary range for this position is: $163,200 to $224,400. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
