Amazon"s Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support the Amazon Web Services ("AWS") Sales, Marketing, and Global Services legal team. This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership, support complex cloud technology transactions, and find and develop innovative solutions that enable us to scale legal support to our global client base. This role will have primary transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals (including highly-complex, high-value, strategic negotiations), and provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation guidance for business team members. This role will also participate in other AWS legal work streams, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, advising on risk related to new business initiatives, and advising on pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. The successful candidate works well within a large legal team, but is also able to work independently on transactional and project work.
