Gartner is currently seeking an Associate Contracts Director (ACD) for our expanding North America Public Sector Practice. The ACD will be responsible for negotiation of main contract agreements and all attendant contractual instruments to facilitate the sale and use of Gartner Business and Technology Insights products as well as Consulting Services. The ACD will also answer internal sales general contracting questions to include providing assistance to internal pricing and proposal support resources for the North America Public Sector Team. The ACD will report directly to the Director, Legal Counsel and assist with supporting the North America Public Sector Team efforts in the U.S. and Canadian State & Local Public sector market(s).Key ResponsibilitiesRead, analyze, assess and communicate guidance on RFQs/RFPs, Commercial Non-Disclosure Agreements, Transactional Agreements and Contract Agreements.Review and negotiate Contracts, Purchase Orders and Modifications.Conduct "issue specific" and "new hire" training for Sales and Consulting.Answer inquiries from and propose problem resolution for Gartner's Accounts Receivable issues.Interface/dialog with clients to discuss acquisition solutions and/or resolve/explain issues.Provide advice on general and public sector legal issues.Who you areMotivated, high‑potential performer, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead.Able to support sales teams in a positive manner that ensures ethically and legally compliant contracting and business practices while promoting the business.Must be comfortable navigating differing and potentially conflicting demands for multiple constituencies to reach viable sales solutions.Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.Consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.Ability to collaborate with a team of contract managers and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.Role QualificationsUndergraduate degree, Juris Doctor degree preferred.A minimum of 5+ years' experience in government contracting, consulting / advisory, or related field. State and local government sales support desired.Familiarity with government contracting terminology and compliance requirements.Demonstrated knowledge and experience negotiating Fixed Price subscription licensing agreements and Consulting main contracts.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.Knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint a plus).Strong process management skills with the ability to multi‑task and meet firm deadlines.Strong time management and prioritization skills.Strong attention to detail.Compensation & BenefitsGartner offers world‑class benefits, highly competitive compensation and disproportionate rewards for top performers. The base salary for this role is estimated to be $108,000 – $148,000 USD.
