About the role:

BSI is looking for a strong, EHS to join our dynamic EHS team in the Rockville, MD area. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on IH experience, with the proven ability to independently perform exposure assessments, plan and execute sampling strategies, and analyze and report results using sound statistical methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day EHS compliance activities across a light manufacturing and/or production environment
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory programs (e.g., hazard communication, waste management, PPE)
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; track and close corrective actions
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of corrective/preventive actions
  • Help manage environmental programs including hazardous waste handling, labeling, and storage (RCRA exposure a plus)
  • Deliver and coordinate EHS training for employees (safety orientation, toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analyses, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation, metrics, and reporting dashboards; support compliance records and audits
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to promote a proactive safety culture and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support contractor safety oversight and ensure adherence to site safety requirements
  • Ideal candidate: 5-8 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings; strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, temporary (or permanent with Rich's approval) assignment environment

The salary for this position can range from $86,400 to $108,000 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
