Associate, Banker - Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Provide bespoke financial analysis services covering mergers and acquisitions, capital raising (debt and equity) including Initial Public Offerings, takeover defense, restructuring and general strategic advice to financial institution clients, specifically in the Insurance sector. Drive analysis and deliverables that underpin the firm’s financial advisory services, and actively participate in business development processes, including attending formal client meetings. Requires: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with Master’s degree ) or three (3) years of experience (with Bachelor’s degree) with: building and reviewing multi-method valuation models (e.g. traditional DCF, sensitivity analyses, Monte Carlo analyses) to value various types of assets; developing client-ready presentations and financial models using Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint; working with investment banking professionals in connection with M&A and debt restructuring transactions, capital raising, and other financial transactions; presenting to executives on financial analyses and valuation of insurance instruments; and reading and analyzing financial statements of financial services companies, as well as actuarial appraisals.
