Pittsburgh law firm seeking a full time Associate Attorney. The position primarily involves handling civil litigation matters involving real estate, as well as some transactional work.
Responsibilities:
· Handle a caseload of real estate litigation matters, including but not limited to quiet title, ejectment, contract disputes, and zoning issues,
· Conduct legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
· Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
· Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on real estate litigation matters
· Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with clients throughout the legal process
· Work independently and collaboratively with team members to achieve successful case outcomes
· Stay updated on real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide informed legal guidance
Skills:
· Strong negotiation skills to effectively represent clients' interests
· Excellent research skills to gather relevant information for cases
· Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document drafting and case management
· Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
· Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound legal strategies
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective client communication
· Ability to litigate cases in court with confidence and professionalism
Requirements:
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
· Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania
· Prior experience in civil litigation is preferred, but not required
