We are a growing insurance defense firm with a strong presence throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, representing carriers, businesses, and insured clients in complex litigation matters.

Our Philadelphia office is actively expanding and looking to add a General Liability Associate Attorney with 3 to 5+ years of experience handling sophisticated defense litigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain meaningful hands-on litigation experience, independently manage files, and work closely with experienced defense attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Job Details

The Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience handling insurance defense and general liability matters including:
Premises liability
Auto liability
Catastrophic injury claims
Construction-related claims
General casualty litigation

This attorney will work directly with clients, carriers, and firm leadership while managing files from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Conduct depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload with oversight and mentorship
  • Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and carriers
  • Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure
  • Ensure compliance with litigation deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Meet annual billable requirements while maintaining strong work product

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar admissions required
  • New York admission is a plus
  • 3 to 5+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Deposition and motion practice experience preferred
  • Professional, polished, and client-focused demeanor
