Associate Attorney or Patent Agent - Electrical Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney or Patent Agent to join our Herndon, VA office. This position is ideal for patent agents, or attorneys with at least 3-5 years of experience who have technical background in electrical engineeringEssential Duties and Responsibilities Review and analyze newly assigned and existing matters, ensuring effective legal representation from initiation to conclusion.Draft, review, and finalize legal documents in accordance with Firm procedures.Conduct thorough legal research using all available resources, including legal databases and libraries.Provide well-founded legal opinions and strategic counsel to clients.Conduct negotiations, where appropriate, to effectively resolve client matters.Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the DC and/or VA state bar.Undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering (required).Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.Billable Hours This position offers a total of 1,900 billable hours, which may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis depending on experience and education.Why Join Us Work with top-tier intellectual property professionals in a dynamic legal environment.Gain hands-on experience in patent prosecution, IP strategy, and client counseling.Enjoy a collaborative, hybrid work environment that supports professional growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
