Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Novato, CA, to represent clients in silicosis and/or asbestos personal injury and wrongful death actions. The role involves drafting legal documents, attending and taking depositions, managing client relationships, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.Duties Attend plaintiff depositions, including travel within and outside California.Research and prepare clients for depositions; defend clients during depositions.Evaluate defendants post-deposition for potential dismissal or addition.Complete discovery and prepare evaluations for each set of discovery.Prepare oppositions to motions for summary judgment.Manage assigned cases, including offensive discovery planning and client communication.Attend office meetings and training sessions; maintain computer skills and continuing education.Requirements Juris Doctorate Degree.Active member of the California State Bar.4-5 years of civil litigation experience.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Education Juris Doctorate Degree.Certifications Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills Effective communication in person, via email, and telephone.Strong case management and analytical skills.Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.Benefits Not specified.#J-18808-Ljbffr
