Job Details

This position will involve handling litigation matters from inception through resolution with direct exposure to clients, strategy, and courtroom work.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing cases through all phases of litigation
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and reports
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses
  • Handling court appearances and hearings
  • Drafting and arguing dispositive motions including summary judgment
  • Reviewing and analyzing medical records
  • Assisting with trial preparation and appellate activity
  • Communicating directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel

Qualifications
  • Active Tennessee Bar license required
  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
  • Experience within insurance defense, professional liability, medical malpractice, or general liability strongly preferred
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage files and deadlines
  • Deposition and motion practice experience preferred
