Zwicker is presently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in Deerfield Beach, FL. We strive to promote from within, offering excellent career advancement opportunities for high achievers.The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 per year.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside partiesDraft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. in furtherance of active litigation filesReview litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate actionAdvocate on behalf of client's interests at various litigation settingsUtilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventoryAnalyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by Managing Attorney, to ensure that proper litigation work flow is being performed pursuant to the firm and client expectationsComply with all client and firm standard operating proceduresAbility to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as requiredPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsAdmission to practice law in the state of FloridaStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated self-starterEagerness to learnAbility to manage and prioritize a large caseloadPreferred QualificationsMinimum of one year of litigation/trial experienceWorking knowledge of civil procedureDebt collection experiencePrior experience in high volume environmentPhysical QualificationsBe able to lift five pounds or moreBe able to sit 90% of the work day at timesBe able to bend at the waist and be mobile when neededBe able to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondenceBe able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writingBe able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent deviceBe able to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek scheduleBe able to travel occasionally when needed by the most efficient means of transportationZwicker & Associates, P.C. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with disabilities.
