Job Duties
Responsibility / Duty
TheAssociate Athletic Director for Compliance and Administration
reports directly to the Nicholls State University President. Coordinates and communicates all NCAA and Southland Conference rules and regulations to coaches, student-athletes, staff, University personnel, community members, etc.
Percentage Of Time 45 Responsibility / Duty
Other administrative duties which may include, but are not limited to, sports administration, event management, department coordination, student-athlete initiatives, etc.
Percentage Of Time 15 Responsibility / Duty
Maintains and manages team and student-athletes information regarding eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, etc.
Percentage Of Time 10 Responsibility / Duty
Completes and assists in NCAA reports, including: APR, GSR, EADA, Sports Sponsorship, etc.
Percentage Of Time 10 Responsibility / Duty
Coordinates the eligibility certification efforts of all incoming freshman, transfers and continuing student-athletes.

Primary contact for University departments for matters relating to athletics compliance.

Minimum Experience Required
Minimum experience required: College athletics compliance experience. Working knowledge of NCAA bylaws, interpretations and regulations, and an ability to communicate this to student-athletes, coaches, staff and other members of the community.

Bachelor's degree
Minimum Licenses Required Other Minimum Requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, computer and communications skills with an ability to multi-task. Must be detail-oriented and must be comfortable using various computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Banner, LSBDi, etc.). Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
