About the Role
In this role, you will support all activities related to Global taxes at Gap Inc. You will support the broader Finance organization, and provide subject matter expertise and guidance on all matters related to tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax regulation (foreign and domestic). You will be a critical partner to other parts of the Finance organization, including teams in Payroll, Compensation, Internal Audit, our Corporate Controller's Group, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (Sarbanes Oxley) and proper documentation of processes in order to minimize tax risk
- Partner with teams across the organization to provide technical analysis, calculations and documentation
- Ask effective questions and solicit feedback to understand needs
- Complete structured assignments based on stated priorities
Who You Are
- Develop expertise and maintain knowledge of federal taxation and tax planning and good general knowledge of state income tax laws and current developments
- Excellent interpersonal an communication skills, able to develop good relationships with business partners
