Associate Account Manager / Application Engineer (GM Account)

Remote (Michigan-based) | Detroit-area team

Comp: $90,000 to $100,000 base + bonus + profit sharing + company carYou're a few years into your career and you're at the point where you want more customer exposure and commercial responsibility, but you do not want to give up the technical side.This role is a strong next step: you'll support a major GM account in an associate-level capacity, partnering closely with senior account leaders while building the skills to grow into a full Account Manager seat.

What you'll do (role snapshot)

• Support a major GM account as an Associate Account Manager / Application Engineer
• Spend roughly 70 to 75% of your time on account management and commercial work
• Spend roughly 25 to 30% of your time on application engineering and technical support
• Interpret engineering prints and 3D models and support technical discussions with GM engineers
• Partner with senior sales/account leadership on:
  • Account strategy
  • Quoting support
  • Day-to-day customer issues and internal coordination

What they're looking for (target profile)

• Around 2 to 4 years of experience (roughly 3 years is ideal)
• Experience in application engineering, product engineering, technical account support
  • Or early-career account management with strong technical aptitude
• Comfortable reading engineering drawings and working with 3D models
• Motivated to grow into full account manager responsibilities over time
