Description

Assistant Womens Softball Coach- 1st Assistant is responsible for all phases of developing and maintaining a successful Womens Softball Program at the college through their support of the Head Womens Softball Coach. This is a part-time seasonal position.

  • This position coaches the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners*

Examples of Duties

  • Recruitment of potential student-athletes
  • Practice preparation
  • In and out-of season training
  • Game/match day management
  • Retention of quality student-athletes
  • Ensure the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
  • Safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
  • Adherence to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCGC and Athletic Department rules and regulations
  • Assist the Head Coach with fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
  • Ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Executive Director of Athletics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of softball is required
  • Associates degree required
  • Valid drivers license in good standing required

Paid Time Off:

Employees will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, as defined by the New Jersey Earned Sick Leave Law.

Pension Benefits:

This position may be eligible for the Defined Contribution Retirement Plan (DCRP) under the New Jersey State Pension System. The DCRP is a defined contribution plan available for eligible part time employees. Six investment carriers are authorized to provide investment options and service in the DCRP. Employees contribute 5% of their base salary with a 3% employer match. Eligibility in this plan requires a minimum salary of $5,000.
