The Assistant Women's Lacrosse coach is responsible for all phases of the program including organization and administration, quality student-athlete recruitment, fiscal management, viable fundraising, public relations and on the field coaching along with other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.
 
Salary & Benefits

Primary Duties
 
• Instruct and lead a positional group on the women's lacrosse team in their skill development, team strategies, and scouting.
 
• Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes including evaluating at tournaments, communication to recruits, and the planning in official and unofficial visits.
 
• Assist in the creation of team activities including team bonding events, team leadership workshops, and community service.
 
• Camp/Clinic Coordinator
 
• Coordinate with GVSU support staff including facilities, academic advisors, strength and conditioning coaches, and exercise science staff.
 
• Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
 
• Bachelor's degree
 
• Candidate to have successful lacrosse coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level.
 
• Thorough understanding of the NCAA rules and regulations.
 
• Candidate must have a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes and NCAA compliance.
 
• Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
 
• This position requires driving a company/university vehicle - valid driver's license is required with an acceptable driving record.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
 
• Master's degree
 
• Successful knowledge and experience recruiting high level student-athletes.
 
• Experience on collegiate level lacrosse staff.
 
• Experience in coaching offensive concepts and skills.
 
• Experience in developing team culture and curriculum.
 
Working Conditions
 
Normal office environment. Team and recruiting travel is required.
