The AVP, Surgical Services oversees operational, quality, safety, and financial performance across surgical and procedural areas, including ORs, endoscopy, and ambulatory surgery centers.
They partner with clinical and hospital leaders to standardize workflows, drive throughput, and expand outpatient surgery capacity.
Responsibilities include developing governance councils, improving financial outcomes, optimizing case costing, reducing variation through supply chain collaboration, and enhancing quality metrics such as infection rates and safety standards.
They lead systemwide initiatives on care quality, operational efficiency, and capital planning, utilizing Lean and High Reliability Organization methodologies.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree, 7+ years of perioperative leadership, clinical licensure (preferred), and strong strategic, leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
