Ashland High School is seeking an assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach for the 2026 season. Ashlands coaches are actively engaged in the community and embrace both the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District. The role of the assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach is to be responsible for: • Coaching character development • Providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill • An appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in lacrosse This job requires you to: • Interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and community • Follow the mission of the school • Positive communication strategies • Organizational skills • Safety awareness The assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach reports to the Athletic Director. Requirements: • Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred • Good communication and organizational skills • Available to practice after school, weekends, and evenings • Establish team goals, team rules, communicate these to all • Commitment to program • CPR/First Aid Certified • Preferred
