The High School Varsity Assistant Girls Basketball Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the girls' basketball program. This role is integral to fostering a positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate athletic environment that emphasizes teamwork, character, and academic success. Responsibilities

Coaching and Player Development
Assist in designing and implementing practice plans that enhance individual and team skills.
Provide instruction on basketball fundamentals, game strategies, and conditioning techniques.
Support individual player development through feedback, skill-building drills, and one-on-one mentorship.
Aid in analyzing team and player performance to inform coaching adjustments and strategies.
Team Support and Supervision
Assist the Head Coach during practices, games, and team meetings.
Promote a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and sportsmanship.
Help monitor student-athletes'' academic progress and encourage classroom excellence.
Maintain consistent communication with athletes, families, and school staff.
Program Operations
Support the Head Coach with game preparation, scouting reports, and opponent analysis.
Assist with organizing team logistics including transportation, equipment, and facility use.
Help coordinate team events, community service projects, and fundraising efforts.
Leadership and Mentorship
Serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes.
Encourage leadership development, goal-setting, and personal responsibility.
Uphold and reinforce team and school policies, codes of conduct, and WIAA standards.
