Job Description and Duties

Under direct supervision of the Utility Craftsworker Superintendent, incumbent will supervise all civil maintenance activities within an area of responsibility in the San Joaquin Field Division. Plans, organizes, and directs the civil maintenance repair, replacement, and improvement activities. Responsible for management and administration activities including: Budgeting of personnel, supplies, material and equipment, selection, training, placement and development of personnel, selects proper methods, material and equipment for work programs, makes estimates, plans and reports on proposed work, administers preventative maintenance programs on project works, coordinates and assists other section's activities as required.

Special Requirements

Must have a valid California Driver's License.

This position has frequent access to areas designated as containing critical cyber assets in accordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards and therefore a satisfactory criminal background check is required prior to appointment and at least every 7 years thereafter.

The field divisions are 100% office-centric, candidate must be willing to work in person, as this position is not eligible for telework.

We are seeking candidates with the following: Must have strong oral and written communication skills, leadership, supervision, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills are a must with experience in word, outlook, excel, and preferably knowledge with SAP (or similar). The incumbent must be dependable, exercise good judgement and exhibit good safety practices. Must have a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to interact professionally and cooperatively with all levels of staff. Experience scheduling jobs; budget experience; environmental compliance procedures; work safety experience and knowledge a must. Experience working around pumping/generation facilities required.
