Description of Work
This position will serve as an Assistant Traffic Engineer for the Division One Traffic Unit. This position will be responsible for assisting with reviewing traffic impact analysis and project plans, performing general safety and mobility traffic studies, handling necessary coordination and/or inspection for projects under design and construction that the Traffic Unit is overseeing and attending meetings related to these items, as needed.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC16 - $57,983 - $101,470

Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Requirements
May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
