Position Description Advertised Job Summary The University of South Carolina is hiring part-time Assistant Trades Technicians to join our Facilities Services team. These entry-level positions offer a hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in developing skills in the trades including electrical plumbing HVAC and carpentry. Work hours are flexible within the window of Monday through Friday 730 AM to 300 PM and do not require coverage of the full shift. Responsibilities typically include· Assisting with installation maintenance and repair of equipment or systems. · Operating tools and machinery under supervision. · Preparing work areas and cleaning up after tasks. · Transporting materials and supplies. · Performing basic inspections and reporting issues This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational trade skills in a supportive and educational university environment.
