The University of South Carolina is hiring multiple part-time Assistant Trades Technicians to join our Facilities Services team. These entry-level positions offer a hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in developing skills in the trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

Work hours are flexible within the window of Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and do not require coverage of the full shift. Responsibilities typically include:

  • Assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment or systems.
  • Operating tools and machinery under supervision.
  • Preparing work areas and cleaning up after tasks.
  • Transporting materials and supplies.
  • Performing basic inspections and reporting issues.

This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational trade skills in a supportive and educational university environment.

Driver's license required.
