Position Overview:

The Assistant Teacher works closely with the Lead Teacher to create a responsive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for one‑year‑olds. • Using the Conscious Discipline Model to respond to children's individual needs and help them navigate big feelings and peer interactions
  • Encouraging independence through guided self‑help opportunities (e.g., handwashing, putting on shoes, cleaning up materials, practicing routines)
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets licensing and accreditation standards
  • Building warm, supportive relationships with children and positive partnerships with families, including through home visits
  • Communicating regularly with families about children's routines, progress, and daily experiences
