The department of Management & Marketing of the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks an Assistant Teaching Professor in General Management to teach four sections per semester of undergraduate courses, actively participate in pedagogical innovation and assessment of learning throughout the college, and engage in university or community service activities.
The appointment will be for the period between September 1st 2026 and May 31st 2027.
General Summary of Position:
The Assistant Teaching Professor in General Management will bring expertise and/or teaching experience in topics across the management spectrum, such as leadership, team management, organizations and firm strategy. Professionals in this position are expected to deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience, guide and support students through their academic challenges, individual academic advising needs, as well as advising of student clubs and/or chapters of professional association, career counseling, collaboration with the business community, student recruitment/retention, and curriculum development. The chosen candidate will teach courses in-person, online, and blended modality.
The Charlton College of Business is an AACSB-accredited school with 7 undergraduate degree programs, an MBA program, and several specialized Masters degree programs, which are offered in the traditional face-to-face, blended, and fully online formats. Located on the South Coast of Massachusetts, Dartmouth is near some of the most beautiful coastlines in the United States. Dartmouth is also conveniently located near Cape Cod, Providence, Newport, and Boston. New York is a three-hour train ride away.
