YMCA Assistant Swim Coach (Part-time)
Y’s Youth Swim Team (2026–2027 Season)
 
Immediate Openings | September - March
 
The YMCA Y Youth Swim Team is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Swim Coaches to support our swimmers throughout the 2026/2027 season.
 
Schedule
  • Monday & Wednesday: 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Most Saturdays and occasionally Sundays: Swim meets required
Pay
  • $11–$15 per hour, based on prior coaching experience
Responsibilities
  • Assist with swim practices and training sessions
  • Support swimmers in skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Help prepare swimmers for meets and competitions
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and motivating environment
Qualifications
  • Previous swim coaching or competitive swimming experience preferred
  • CPR and Lifeguard Certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Reliability with evening and weekend availability

All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them.
