    Description

    Provides on-the-job leadership and task supervision of assigned employees in a department or area of the plant.  Acts in a capacity to extend the supervisory abilities of the immediate reporting supervisor in charge of the overall area. 

     

    Job Responsibilities  

      • Inspect the forklift vehicle before and after shift. Complete forklift inspection form.
      • Inspect / Maintain the forklift battery charged and recharge; report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to Supervisor
      • Reconcile raw material inventory each morning.
      • Ensure raw materials high proper paperwork before receiving
      • Maintain accurate inventory in Freezer incuding QC Hold product
      • Make sure SAP orders/deliveries are posted and up to date
      • Ensure proper rotation of raw materials by using the SAP cleared materials report.
      • Communicate with grinding operators to maintain a continuous flow of raw materials and no shortages.
      • Inspect each combo of raw materials using sight and smell. Alert QA if there are issues
      • Follow all work rules and safety rules. Drive at safe speeds with forks down and yield to employees.
      • Recharge forklift battery at end of shift
      • Wear proper PPE as needed
      • Keep work area clean
      • Lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

      Perform related duties as assigned

     

    Experience & Skills  

    • Basic computer competency 
    • Knowledge of SAP 
    • Knowledge of KPI is a plus 
    • 1 year of on the job experience with demonstrated understanding of process flow, quality, efficiency, safety and organizational requirements in the department assigned 

     

    Education 

    • High school or equivalent.  Associate degree or trade certificate preferred 

     

    Work Environment 

    • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment. 
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be to lift up to 60 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen. 

    Compensation/Benefits We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $24.00 to $25.00 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.

    Additional Compensation: This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.
