SUMMARY:

The Assistant Superintendent of Operations, reporting to the Superintendent and peer to the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning & Equity, serves as the district''s Chief Operations and Finance Officer and is responsible for providing leadership, vision and strategic direction for the programs and personnel involved in the operations of Business Services, Transportation, Human Resources, School Operations and Safety, School Nutrition, Athletics and Activities, and Facilities & Grounds departments. Most importantly, the Assistant Superintendent takes a lead role in advancing the mission missing and vision of the school district to ensure smooth and efficient operations and strategic deployment of resources.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Master''s or advanced degree in educational leadership or business; prefer Superintendent''s license and experience as a school principal.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an administrator which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.
• Specific experience in the areas of Finance, Human Resources or Operations is preferred along with a thorough knowledge of the functions and operations of a public school (K12) system, including the use of technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES:

Possess and maintain or be eligible to hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Administrative licensure. Superintendent License is preferred. Valid driver''s license.
