The Mount Laurel School District seeks a highly effective educational leader to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the district's PreK-8 special education, counseling, and health services. This role ensures strict state and federal compliance, optimizes resources, and collaborates with families and staff to deliver equitable, high-quality instruction and comprehensive wellness support for all students by:

  • Supervising and evaluating the Child Study Team, Student Assistance Counselors, School Counselors, and School Nurses.
  • Overseeing all Special Education Programs and Related Services, ensuring all State and Federal legal requirements are met.
  • Leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of research-based, innovative, supportive, and challenging special education programs, student support services, and nursing services for students in Grades PreK8.
  • Recommending resources and supports to the Superintendent and Board of Education to enhance special education programming, school counseling curricula, and health services.
  • Supervising and evaluating building principals on district and school-level activities, including special education program effectiveness, parent/community engagement, and student achievement.
  • Serving as an active member of the Superintendent's Central Office Cabinet.
  • Collaborating closely with district and school administrators to promote inclusive learning environments for all students.
