Assistant Superintendent – Construction

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (DOE)

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a confidential construction management firm seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations on commercial, institutional, and public-sector construction projects throughout the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with the daily management of construction site operations.
• Support enforcement of project safety requirements and site compliance programs.
• Help maintain project schedules, production targets, and workflow coordination.
• Coordinate subcontractor deliveries, site logistics, and material staging.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, reports, and as-built records.
• Review plans, drawings, and specifications for constructability and code compliance.
• Assist with quality control inspections and project progress tracking.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by project leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of construction site experience.
• High School Diploma or Associate's Degree required.
• Knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
