    What you'll be doing

    The primary purpose is to handle all duties pertaining to operations including but not limited to preparing and submitting required paperwork, field execution, maximizing efficiencies and profitability, limiting down-time, and purchasing and maintaining equipment. The qualified candidate will encourage and promote a team environment that motivates crew members and sets a high bar regarding performance standards set forth in measurable goals.

    • Assist with the preparation of final project reports including obtaining historical data and information.
    • Conduct quality checks of all documents and reports, verify accuracy of data, information and calculations.
    • Assist in maintaining the departmental policies, procedures and manuals.
    • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
    • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
    • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
    • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
    • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and assist with worker's compensation claims with Human Resources and Legal
    • Manages all inventory kept in bulk and properly allocate to jobs
    • Oversee all OSHA requirements, standards and practices
    • Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of fleet management.
    • Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
    • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    What you'll bring to us

    • Must have strong understanding of DOT regulations
    • Must be willing to work extended hours including nights and weekends if necessary
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and or/construction related industry in a role of significant leadership. Relevant experience in asphalt or concrete preferred.
    • Design /build general contracting company experience a plus.
    • C.M. degree preferred but not required.
    • Demonstrated record of accomplishment and creative problem solving.
    • Must have excellent leadership experience, sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment.
    • Spanish language capability a strong plus.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
    • Must be comfortable with hands-on work environment.
    • Some light travel.
