Reporting to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will directly supervise the performance training program of Division I Olympic sports teams as assigned.
This position will contribute to the overall wellness of Fordham University student-athletes. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to programming for individuals and groups on daily strength, speed, and conditioning performance and health (on-site and during breaks/travel); translating the latest scientific evidence into practical sports performance recommendations; tracking and documenting outcomes of training programs, maintaining health and safety of all athletes and strength facilities.
This is a professional position, and all duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of Fordham University, as well as in line with the Cure Personalis value.
This is a part-time, non benefited, hourly position.
Essential Functions
Directly supervises the performance training programs of Olympic sports teams as assigned.
Designs a yearly sports performance program for primary teams to include strength, speed, conditioning, and performance evaluation.
Works collaboratively with the Sports Medicine staff to ensure best practices for injuries and return to play.
Works collaboratively with Head Sport Coaches, providing regular reports on team and individual progress.
Maintains Strength and Conditioning facilities.
