ASSISTANT MANAGER
DIILS Ace Hardware is looking for a dependable, experienced leader to help manage daily store
operations, support our associates, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Help oversee all daily store operations
Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed properly
Keep the store stocked, clean, organized, and ready for customers
Supervise checkout, returns, special services, receiving, and stocking
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate inventory and place orders when needed
Ensure merchandise is properly priced, tagged, signed, and displayed
Keep sales and receiving areas clear of pallets, boxes, and trash
Train associates on store policies and procedures
Create weekly schedules and assign daily responsibilities
Maintain accurate employee files and store records
Enforce safety procedures and lead by example
Step into leadership wherever needed to support the business
What We're Looking For
At least 2 years of retail management experience
Strong knowledge of hardware-related products or a willingness to learn
Strong leadership and team-development skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Ability to solve problems and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience with retail computer systems preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to bend, twist, lift, and move merchandise
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
