The OpportunityThe Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the US Commercial team and provides critical support to the Store Manager in leading daily store operations, driving sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experience.This role supports team development, operational excellence, and overall store success while ensuring company standards, safety, and customer service expectations are consistently met.The Assistant Store Manager plays an important role in maintaining a high‑performing and customer‑focused store environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Store Manager with daily store operations, workflow management, and team performanceAssist with training, scheduling, coaching, and supervising store team membersServe as acting manager when the Store Manager is unavailableDeliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns while supporting sales goalsHelp execute sales initiatives and achieve store performance targetsSupport inventory management, product replenishment, receiving, and inventory countsMaintain merchandising standards and ensure products are properly displayedAssist with cash handling, register operations, financial reporting, and reconciliation activitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe store environmentQualifications1‑3 years of retail store experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious retail management or outside sales experience preferredStrong leadership, communication, and customer service skillsPaint, coatings, or related product knowledge preferredAbility to work flexible hours and shifts (minimum 45 hours per week)Valid driver's license requiredAbility to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40‑60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouchingProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet‑based applicationsSuccess FactorsStrong customer focus and understanding of market needsAbility to motivate and support team members to achieve resultsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage daily operationsPositive, energetic, and responsive approach in a fast‑paced environmentAbility to learn quickly, accept coaching, and work collaborativelyCommitment to achieving sales goals and delivering outstanding customer experienceApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment‑based visa sponsorship (now or in the future).
